Posted on: 20/04/2017
During the Easter holidays we went to the Tate Modern with the year 11 GCSE Art and Design group. Students enjoyed the The Tate where they were able to experience the artwork in the Turbine Hall. Philippe Parreno the artist looked at the relationship of space and the interaction of the public within the space. The Turbine Hall was transformed into an immersive experience, challenging your perception of time and space through a variety of sounds and movements
Students were able to research and look at a variety of artists of their choices to give them inspiration for their own artwork. The students completed sketches on the Southbank of some of the architecture. It was a lovely bright sunny day with creative minds coming together!
