Bikeability level 2 courses
There is a Bikeability level 2 cycle training course running next week at Basing Hill Park, 129 Hendon Way, London NW2 2NA. The course is free and open to any student aged 9 and over. The course is suitable for children with a basic riding ability who need to practice cycling on the road.
Classes consist of 5 sessions of training spread over 5 days. Course times are 10AM to 12PM, and children MUST have their own bicycle and helmet for the course as we will not have any to loan out. We first complete Level 1 training off road and then the group is taken out on to quiet local roads with 2 qualified instructors.
If you ran some Bikeability Level 2 training during this academic year and some children were off sick, weren’t able to attend or didn’t finish all the outcomes, you may wish to convey this information to their parents/carers.
Bikeability level 3 courses (for Secondary school aged children)
We also have some Bikeability Level 3 training running next week at the same location. Children's Level 3 Bikeability cycle training is for children aged 11 and over. Suitable for children with a solid riding ability who need to tackle more challenging roads and traffic situations. Level 3 training is often tailored to specific trainee needs, such as a route to work or school.
The classes consist of 5 sessions of training spread over 5 days. Course times are 13.00PM to 15.00PM, and children MUST have their own bicycle and helmet for the course as we will not have any to loan out.
We first complete Level 1& 2 synopsis and then the group will practice Level 3 drills.
