Whitefield School is committed to providing our students with an environment where they can develop academically, emotionally and creatively so that they leave as well rounded students who have great grades and great character. Unfortunately, the school is faced with challenges which are making it increasingly difficult to uphold this commitment. 

Over the last few years we have been confronted with rising costs which are not in line with government funding, preventing us from investing into our building infrastructure. Despite these obstacles, our ambition to support our students is as great as ever so that we can give them the opportunities they deserve.

You may have noticed recent updates to the school such as the new basketball courts and modern IT suite in the Sixth Form but with your help we can go even further for our students.

Our goal is to expand and enhance the Acorn Theatre. This space is the heart of the school where the students come together for assemblies, workshops, lessons and celebration events. Our vision includes modern facilities that will empower our students to explore their creativity and have a space that they will enjoy to spend time in. 

As we approach Whitefield’s 70th birthday, we see this milestone as an opportunity not only to celebrate our history but also to invite our community to help us towards our goal. We hope that you will be able to join us to celebrate in spring 2025, invitations will be sent closer to the time. 

Our fundraising goal for this project is £150,000 and over the next year we will be working hard with local businesses and you, our school community, to raise these funds. You can make a difference now by contributing to our fundraising goal.

Without the local community, corporate and community organisations, it would not be possible to create a truly special celebration including all students, parents and staff. I hope you will consider making your mark on the Whitefield community by participating in next year’s event.
