Remote Learning Day Tuesday 4th May

Posted on: 03/10/2021

Dear Parents

As of 4.30pm on Sunday 3 October, the electricity has still not been restored to the school site. There have been various teams from U.K. Power Network and our own caretaking staff onsite all weekend. But the faults have not yet been rectified and the electricity is still off.

We hope to be able to open on Tuesday, but I am having to update you daily.

Students will have work to complete remotely for all their lessons. Please check into the google classrooms for remote work set by teachers. Students on exam courses at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 should also have their class notes, revision materials and text books they can use to self study.

I will be back in contact on Monday as soon as I have a definite plan for Tuesday.

The safety of all students and staff is my main priority, and with no electricity, no IT and large open trenches across the front of the site, it is not safe to have the school open yet.

Thank you for your understanding.

Mrs Elizabeth Rymer
