London Curriculum Family Explorer Trails

London Curriculum Family Explorer Trails

Posted on: 19/07/2017

With the school year coming to an end, there is much to celebrate as it’s been a fantastic year for the London Curriculum. From the release of three new units for KS2London History Day, a new STEM unit in computing, to the development of resources for KS3 citizenship; children and teachers continue to be inspired by the great city we live in. Thank you for continually supporting the programme and getting involved!

We’re excited to tell you that the New London Curriculum Family Explorer Trails are now available for download!

They are for use with key stage 2 and 3 pupils and are a great way for families to find out more about this brilliant city, and have fun too.

Visit www.london.gov.uk/familytrails to download a copy, and encourage your families to get out and about this summer with our trails based in central London locations: South Kensington (The Creative Quarter); South Bank (BFI, Southbank Centre); Kings Cross/Euston (Knowledge Quarter) and the City of London. We’ll also be at four special events in these locations over the summer holidays, where families can join in free workshops.

Families can tweet a photo taken on their trail, tag it #LondonIsOpen for Summer and could win a prize!  Three people will also be drawn at random who’ll each win a prize for their whole family to enjoy by completing a survey that will help us to plan more family trails in the future. Find out more here.

Get out and about this summer with the Mayor’s new London Curriculum Family Explorer Trails. Find out more at www.london.gov.uk/familytrails

If you are connected with summer schools, children activity clubs or know of any groups and organisations that would benefit from the opportunity of exploring London for FREE, do let us know.

Please keep in touch and we look forward to working with you all in the new school year.

Wishing you a refreshing and fun summer holiday,

The London Curriculum Team
