Parental Engagement
Research has shown that if parents engage with their children’s education, the attainment of the child will increase. Here at Whitefield we are keen to develop the important partnership between parents and school.
The Parental Engagement Committee is a real driving force within our school. Not only do they help with fundraising and volunteering time for events but also in providing valuable feedback on how we as a school are doing and how we can provide better support.
Our coffee mornings provide parents with the opportunity to meet a member of the senior leadership team and also other parents who are keen to take a more active role in their child’s education.
Previous Coffee Morning have covered topics such as, Reading Strategies to support to support your child at home, Where to find extra support for EAL learners and we have also have also hosted a Careers support workshop to help parents better support their child with their next steps after education.
