ETHOS AND VALUES AT WHITEFIELD SCHOOL
LIVE, LEARN, ASPIRE, ACHIEVE
Whitefield School is a unique and exciting school; one of the most improved schools in the country.
Whitefield has a truly global student body that speaks over 70 different languages and is a model of racial harmony. Indeed, Ofsted noted in 2014 that ‘The school is a harmonious and happy community in which adults and students show high levels of courtesy and respect for each other.’
We have achieved wonderful GCSE results with our students achieving results at GCSE in line with national figures despite the fact that with a KS2 APS of below 24, they start well below the national average; in short the progress our students make is truly outstanding.
As an Academy and the first Full Service Extended School in Barnet we are renowned for our community links. Staff and students have spoken at national conferences about our community outreach work. We have extremely positive relationships with our local Primary schools, who send their most able students to us for timetabled masterclasses in mathematics and English, send entire year groups to our STEM festivals and use our wonderful stage and theatre facilities for their own productions.
With a relentless focus on raising standards of teaching and learning and levels of student attainment, Whitefield School will continue to build on its recent successes.
